YOUCAT - Katekizam za mlade
YOUCAT (Youth Catechism) is the first Catholic catechism for young people valid for the entire Church. This unique religious manual, written in the language of young people, has original and attractive content, with many color photos and very attractive g
The preface to the Catechism was written by Pope Benedict XVI, who warmly recommended it to all young Catholics as a necessary tool for learning about their own faith. The book has already seen its second edition in Croatian.
The content of YOUCAT is divided into four major sections: "What do we believe?" (on religious doctrine), "How do we celebrate the Christian mysteries?" (on the sacraments), "How will we have life in Christ?" (on moral life), "How should we pray?" (on prayer and spirituality). What is particularly interesting is that YOUCAT was created and designed by "young people for young people" themselves, and it was produced under the supervision of the Viennese Cardinal Schönborn, who was also the secretary of the editorial board of the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
"Study the Catechism! This is the desire of my heart. Study the Catechism fervently and persistently! Study it in the silence of your room, read it in pairs, with friends, form reading groups and network, share it with others on the Internet. You must be much more deeply rooted in the faith than your parents' generation." Pope Benedict XVI in the foreword to YOUCAT.
