Nikad više

Nineteen-year-old Heike Römer, the spoiled daughter of a poetic family from the Hesse province, decides to embark on an adventure in the big city after graduating from high school...

Drawn to the power of Frankfurt, Heike begins an internship at the prestigious advertising agency "Panem et circenses", where she enters a world full of glamour, intrigue and ruthless competition. Naive and romantic, Heike quickly falls under the influence of her boss, Urban Hanslik - a charismatic but ruthless manipulator who seduces her, taking advantage of her inexperience and idealism. The deeper Heike falls in love, the more she realizes that for him everything is just a game of power and pleasure, devoid of any real feeling.

The shattered dream of a perfect love leaves Heike humiliated and bitter. Instead of running away, she decides to take revenge - but in her own way. She hatches a cunning plan: stay at the agency, improve herself and rise through the ranks, using her intelligence and perseverance to become indispensable. For years, she fights sexism, intrigue and Hanslik's manipulations, building a career that transforms her into a powerful woman. As she climbs the ladder, Heike confronts personal demons: the fear of being vulnerable again, the conflict between ambition and heart, and the revelation of her own strength.

Heike's transformation from vulnerable girl to determined professional culminates in an unexpected twist, where revenge becomes liberation. Fischer masterfully portrays the psychological nuances of the characters, mixing romance with drama, reminding us that "never again" is not just a curse, but a mantra of strength.
