Čađave zgode
The storybook Çađava zgode (Sooty Adventures) was created in 1971 as a memorial to the writer's grandfather and all those train drivers he heard about in his childhood, and as a memory of the writer's father, who recounted their adventures and misadventur
The book has gone through 15 editions, and has been read and continues to be read by many, from grandchildren to grandfathers, especially those from the railway industry. Dragutin Horkić constantly searches for the extraordinary in the ordinary, creating a fairy-tale atmosphere from seemingly unimportant details, and noticing humor and cheerfulness where we would least expect it. Reading Čađa's Adventures, you will often wonder which are descriptions of real events and which are the fruit of the writer's imagination. But is that important in a good story?
