Konstanti Ildefons Galčinjski

The collection The Enchanted Carriage brings together lyrical and reflective poems that combine imagination, humor, irony, and emotional warmth.

The central tone of the collection is nostalgic and melancholic, but not heavy – the poet often softens serious themes (transience, love, loneliness) with irony and a playful style. The poems feature motifs of travel, miraculous scenes and “enchanted” situations that symbolize the inner world of man. The Enchanted Carriage is a typical Gałczyński collection in which everyday life is transformed into a poetic game of imagination, and the “ordinary world” acquires magical and symbolic dimensions.
