Jesus uses simple images from everyday life — the sower, the lost sheep, the merciful father, the mustard seed — to speak of salvation, conversion, and God's love. Cantalamessa emphasizes that the parables can only be understood with faith and inner openness. They do not only affect the intellect but also invite man to personal change.
