Dve koze u kolibi, Holanđanka u krevetu
The book is a typical example of Yugoslav humor of the 1980s – a mild satire of everyday life, written simply, humorously and in an accessible way. It is ideal for light reading and relaxation.
Two Goats in a Hut and a Dutchwoman in Bed is a collection of humoresques – short, witty stories in which Novak Novak, in his own distinctive way, ridicules everyday life, human flaws, interpersonal relationships, bureaucracy, marriage, love affairs and awkward situations. The title of the book itself is a typical example of his humor – absurd, a little cheeky and immediately announces that it is a fun, light prose. His humoresques often resemble anecdotes and sketches (which is not surprising, considering that he also wrote for television). The stories are light, entertaining and easy to read, without striving for “great literature”, but for pure humor and entertainment.
