Zemlja snova: Potraga za neznanim Kadathom

Zemlja snova: Potraga za neznanim Kadathom

Howard Phillips Lovecraft

Randolph Carter travels through the Dreamlands to find the wondrous, hidden city of Kadath. On his perilous pilgrimage, he faces nightmares, monsters, and the mysterious Gods of Earth.

"The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath" (The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath) is one of the most extensive and fascinating works of H. P. Lovecraft, which belongs to his famous "Dream Cycle". The short novel follows the fate of Randolph Carter, the author's alter ego and tireless researcher of dreams, who sees in his visions a magnificent but unattainable sunset city. Mesmerized by its beauty, Carter vows to find Kadath – the mysterious home of the Earth Gods that lies hidden in the cold wasteland.

Carter's journey takes the reader through the wondrous and terrifying regions of the Land of Dreams: from magical forests inhabited by zoogs, through underground cities inhabited by ghouls, all the way to dangerous seas and dark peaks. Along the way, Carter must use all his wisdom to avoid abominations like the Night Walkers, the god Nyarlathotep, and other cosmic Mythos beings.

This work stands out among Lovecraft's oeuvre, combining cosmic horror and rich fantasy. Through a story of longing for the lost ideals of youth and the power of human imagination, the author builds an epic about the courage of an individual who dared to defy the will of the gods themselves.
