In this book, the author adapts the experience of the ancient Greeks, the Bible and the monastic fathers to today's times and shows us the way to inner freedom, clarity and simplicity of heart. He describes rituals of external and internal cleansing that benefit the soul and body and allow us to breathe freely again. But he also warns against excessive and misunderstood zeal for cleanliness, order, discipline and even piety and encourages us to accept our dark sides that are revealed through such an effort.
