"Therese Raken" (1867) is a dark study of passion, crime, and psychological consequences. Set in Paris, it follows Therese, a young woman raised by her aunt, Madame Raken, and forced into marriage with her sickly son, Camille.
The short story Mustafa Madžar describes the life of Mustafa Madžar, a hero from Doboj who fought against the Austrians.
The twelve stories in this book were written over the past eighteen years. Before taking on their current form, five of them were adapted into newspaper articles and film scripts, and one into a television series.
