Spasitelj

Spasitelj

Jo Nesbo

A mysterious murder on the streets of Oslo before Christmas, where an official of the Salvation Army, inspector Harry Hole, and his team were killed during a concert by the Salvation Army orchestra lead to Croatian exiles living in Norway.

Hole will have to look for a solution to the case in Zagreb, where in the International Hotel he is trying to find out who and why ordered the crime in Oslo. The trail also leads to the siege of Vukovar during the Homeland War. "Savior" is Nesbo's fourth novel from the Harry Hole series translated into Croatian, and because of its subject matter, it is considered a kind of "Croatian novel" by Nesbo. Nesbo got the basic idea for "Saviour" from a visit to Vukovar in the late nineties, when he watched amateur footage from the Vukovar hospital during the siege of the city in the home of a Croatian veteran, and some of those scenes are described in the novel.
