„Die Mentalität wird durch die Erziehung und Erfahrung innerhalb des Lebensumfelds geprägt, in das ein Mensch eintaucht.

Es ist verständlich, dass auf kleinem Raum und in einem kleinen Land wie Kroatien unterschiedliche Mentalitäten herrschen, die oft im Widerspruch zueinander stehen und miteinander in Konflikt geraten. Der Autor deckt das Phänomen unserer Mentalität auf, die die Entwicklung der besten Humanressourcen bremst. Populär und witzig geschrieben, deckt das Buch unsere emotionalen, moralischen, sozialen, ... und anderen Schwächen auf und sucht darin nach den Wurzeln unserer wirtschaftlichen, politischen und technologischen Probleme. Einige der kommentierten Phänomene sind: Neid und Bosheit, Despotismus und Tyrannei, Machtstreben, Kleinbürgertum in verschiedenen Formen usw.
