Written by two former nannies, Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Krauss, The Nanny Diaries provides an insider's look at the real lives of the rich and privileged. In a humorous way, it exposes the absurdity of overprivileged parenting, as if preparing children for competition at its best.

The novel was adapted into a major motion picture starring Scarlett Johansson and Laura Linney.
