Oton Župančić

The most famous book of this writer is "Ciciban", which has become a classic of Slovenian children's literature.

Oton Župančić created the character of Ciciban inspired by childhood and nature. His imaginative poem "Ciciban and the bee" describes the encounter between the boy Ciciban and the bee. Through this story, Župančić conveyed his love for nature, curiosity and the wonder of childhood. Ciciban became a symbol of innocence, curiosity and the magic of childhood, and his adventures left a deep mark in the hearts of many generations of readers.
