Ratnici iz staroga i srednjega vijeka: Faraonove vojske

Ratnici iz staroga i srednjega vijeka: Faraonove vojske

Louise Park, Timothy Love

Pharaoh's armies were crucial for the defense and expansion of the ancient Egyptian kingdom. Egyptian soldiers used a variety of weapons, including spears, swords, bows and arrows.

They wore light armored vests and shields, and often used chariots for quick attacks. One of the most famous battles in which Pharaoh's armies participated was the Battle of Kadesh, where they clashed with the Hittites. Pharaoh Ramses II. is often depicted as a great military leader in this battle. Egyptian armies also played an important role in religion and ceremonies, often participating in military funerals and rituals.
