Jean-Jacques Rousseau

This work is the pinnacle of Rousseau's literary creativity and belongs to the masterpieces of world literature. Rousseau began writing the Confessions towards the end of his life, so the work was only published posthumously.

The confessions are divided into two parts. In the first, the author evokes childhood memories, lower idyllic pictures of landscapes, draws people he met. In the second part of this autobiography, the contours of the society in which he lives and to which he belongs are more clearly discerned.
