Jean-Jacques Rousseau

Ovo djelo je vrhunac Rousseauova književnog stvaralaštva i pripada remek-djelima svjetske književnosti. Rousseau je Ispovijesti počeo pisati potkraj svoga života tako da je djelo tiskano tek posthumno.

Ispovijesti su podijeljene u dva dijela. U prvom autor evocira uspomene iz djetinjstva, niže idilične slike pejsaža, crta ljude s kojima se susretao. U drugom dijelu ove autobiografije jasnije se razaznaju konture društva u kome i živi i kome pripada.
