Biblija - Stari i Novi Zavjet
Reprint of the edition of the Zagreb Bible from 1968, which is the fourth complete translation of the Bible into the Croatian language, the first printed in Croatia. Translation from the original, based on the example of the Jerusalem Bible.
Manuscript translations of "Mojsijevo Petoknjižje" by Silvio Grubišić and "Psalms" by Filiberto Gass were used in the preparation of this edition. Other parts of the Old Testament were translated by Antun Sović. The translation of Nikola Milićević was taken for Pjesma nad psjema, and for the New Testament, with some editorial changes, the translation of Ljudevit Rupčić. The division of the text, headings and sub-headings follow mainly the French translation of the Bible de Jerusalem. Appendices include short introductions to individual biblical books and interpretations of more important or obscure passages.
