Ružno pače

Ružno pače

The Ugly Duckling is a famous fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen that talks about rejection, self-acceptance and finding one's own identity.

On a quiet country estate, a duck lays eggs. Among the ducklings that hatch, one is bigger, clumsier and different than the others. Everyone makes fun of him and calls him ugly. Even his own family rejects him, and the farm animals tease him. The duckling, sad and lonely, decides to run away.

During his journey, the duckling faces various challenges and difficulties. The winter is long and harsh, but somehow the duck survives. With the arrival of spring, he comes to the lake where he sees beautiful swans. Admiring them, he wants to join them, although he thinks they will also reject him.

However, he sees his reflection in the water and realizes that it has turned into a beautiful swan. Pače discovers that it was not ugly all the time, but special and different. The story ends with a happy scene where the swan swims with its new family, finally finding its place in the world.

Lesson of the story: Time, patience and perseverance bring personal growth and realization of self-worth.
