The first part focuses on ancient civilizations such as Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece and Rome, analyzing their legal systems, institutions and the conceptual development of the idea of the state. Special attention is paid to Roman law, which forms the basis of modern legal systems.
The second part traces medieval and modern legal systems, including feudalism, the development of nation-states, and the influence of revolutions and the Enlightenment on legal change. The textbook ends with an overview of contemporary legal systems.
The book provides a detailed and analytical approach to the historical development of law and the state, with the aim of understanding legal norms and their evolution.
