Cilla Börjlind, Rolf Börjlind

Cilla and Rölf Börjlind once again managed to write a thriller that is hard to put down, and thus showed that they are undisputed masters of the genre.

Three-year-old Emelie, adopted from Ghana, was killed in Arild. The public is stunned and alarmed. Not long after that, seven-year-old Aram, whose mother is originally from Iran, was killed in Värmdö in the same way. The senior inspector of the State Criminal Investigation learned about the brutal murders of the police, Mette Olsäter. Olivia Röning, whom Mette holds in high esteem, has recently returned to the police service and is immediately involved in the investigation. Tom Stilton, a former investigator, coincidentally also begins to investigate the background of the murders because he recently received a book from his friend Ronny, an antique store owner, full of newspaper clippings related to the murder of Jill Engberg, a pregnant 23-year-old dark-skinned prostitute brutally murdered in a hotel; the case that Stilton was investigating, but was suddenly removed from it.

Is it possible that the three murders are connected? How far can an assassin go? Is it a serial killer rampaging through Sweden?
