In this book, in addition to the larger humorous title, there is actually a short humorous novel in which Hašek describes provincial events and mishaps in a light and interesting way, subjecting the petty bourgeoisie to sharp satire.
Their views and way of life – there are other selected humorous pieces that have not yet been translated into our language. In them, Hašek mocks small human flaws and weaknesses, ridicules bureaucracy and its institutions, and exposes civil society and its hypocrisy.
