Zagor LU #129: Amajlija od žada
Dharma and Rajah Kubal Singh seek to unleash the jade amulet’s destructive power. Held captive, Zagor must escape and help Ramath prevent their plan from succeeding.
In Amajlija od žada, the struggle over the object Ramath has kept from his pursuers reaches its climax. The amulet of Jagannath, taken by the fakir from the witch Dharma, can summon Kalkin, the final avatar whose arrival would end the present age. Dharma and her ally, Rajah Kubal Singh, intend to harness that power.
With Zagor in the witch’s hands, stopping her scheme first requires him to survive captivity. Ramath’s past is no longer simply an account of his flight from India: the consequences of that earlier conflict now threaten his friends in Darkwood. The adventure centres on the responsibility of guarding an object whose significance goes far beyond material wealth.
Scripted by Moreno Burattini from a story developed with Stefano Priarone, the issue combines action, occult danger and motifs drawn from Indian mythology. The antagonists’ hunger for power contrasts with the loyalty binding Zagor and his companions, while the amulet creates a threat that physical strength alone cannot overcome.
Raffaele Della Monica illustrates the conclusion of the trilogy begun in Ludens #127, Thugsi, and continued in #128, Prošlost fakira Ramatha. Reading all three issues provides the full story and the background to Ramath’s involvement.
