Bog nas ljubi: Misli i govori Arškog župnika

Jean-Marie Vianney

John Mary Vianney (1786-1859), who would go down in history as the parish priest of Ars, lived and worked during the great French Revolution, difficult events especially for the Church.

While the Curé of Ars, by the power of love of the Holy Spirit, transformed souls and returned them to his Origin-God, to eternal bliss and infinite happiness. He was above all a great penitent; a martyr of the confessional, in which he could confess for 17 hours (from 2 am to 7 pm). God endowed him with miraculous intuition, natural intelligence, infused knowledge, essential mystical graces, the gift of penetrating human hearts; understanding the divine mysteries of love. He knew and foresaw events and human destinies. By revealing the secrets of the soul, he helped many to return to the path of salvation. In this work, we bring his THOUGHTS and SPEECHES (excerpts). While the "Thoughts" reveal to us Joanna-Maria as a mystic, under the direct influence of the Spirit of God, and they are strong, concise, unique and profound; full of wisdom and intelligence, beauty and otherworldliness, like spiritual pearls, like rays of radiance, which have the power to lift the soul, to that extent his "Speeches" (excerpts from sermons), with detailed and plastic descriptions, illuminating the light and dark spaces of the soul, spirit and heart, reveal him to us as a deep connoisseur of the human psyche and as a strong fighter for virtue, for a gracious - divine life. Let us accept them, because they lead us to the transformation of our being - to the Heart of Love.
