Tarzan kao pobjednik

Edgar Rice Burroughs

The fifteenth book in the Tarzan series. Tarzan confronts cruel bandits and a fanatical religious sect in the Ghenzi Mountains of Africa. As king of the jungle, he helps captives and triumphs over evil.

The story is set in the wild African mountains of Ghenzi. Tarzan faces two major threats: a group of ruthless bandits and slave traders who rob and kill, and a fanatical religious sect of Saints who live in an isolated valley and rule with an iron fist.

The story also involves two captured girls – an American and an Englishwoman – whose lives depend on Tarzan. As in other novels in the series, Tarzan uses his superhuman strength, intelligence, knowledge of the jungle and the help of animals to defeat enemies and free the captives.

The novel contains typical Burroughs elements: fast-paced action, exotic locations, the clash of civilization and wilderness, and a clear division into good and evil characters. Here, Tarzan once again shows why he is the king of the jungle – invincible, noble and unwavering in the fight against injustice.

Tarzan as the victor was part of the popular St. Kugli's series The Adventures of Tarzan, which enjoyed great popularity among young people in interwar Croatia and Yugoslavia. The book represents classic adventure literature from the early 20th century, full of tension, romance and an idealized hero. Today it is a sought-after edition among collectors of old Croatian popular literature.
