Satir Josa u eteru Nule

Branko Radman

Satir Josa on the air of Nula is a collection of humorous and satirical stories in the Slavonian dialect in which Branko Radman humorously comments on war, politics, everyday life and social situations through the character of Josa.

Satire Jos on the air of Zero by Branko Radman is a collection of humorous and satirical stories written in the Slavonian dialect. The main character is Jos, a witty storyteller who comments on the social, political and war situations of the early 1990s from the perspective of an ordinary Slavonian man. Through a series of unrelated episodes, anecdotes and imagined conversations, the author shows everyday life marked by the Homeland War, changes in society and human weaknesses, but imbues everything with recognizable Slavonian humor and irony.

Josa looks at bureaucracy, politicians, the media, the reality of war and human relations, often using exaggeration, quips and folk storytelling to point out the absurdities of the times. Although the topics are serious, the author deals with them in a cheerful tone, showing how humor can be a way of dealing with difficult circumstances.

The work is both a literary satire and a testimony of a historical period. The value of the book lies in the authentic language, the preservation of Slavonic speech and the successful combination of folk wisdom, local humor and social criticism. Satire Jos on the air of Zero is an interesting record about the mentality of Slavonia and the everyday life of people during the war years, told wittily, directly and with a lot of self-irony.
