Zaplešimo! 16 Originalnih Hitova

Zaplešimo! 16 Originalnih Hitova

The compilation "Zaplesimo! 16 Originalnih Hitova" was released in the 1980s by Jugoton. It brings a selection of popular dance and pop-rock hits by domestic and foreign artists of the time for a crazy party.

The compilation album Let's Dance! 16 Original Hits represents a representative cross-section of the sound and club energy of the Yugoslav pop, rock and alternative scene of the mid-1980s. Designed as an ideal collection for parties and dance floors, the album brings together in one place the most popular bands and authors who dominated the radio airwaves and top charts at that time.

Through sixteen carefully selected songs, the compilation combines different genres – from synth-pop and new wave to rock and early dance-pop production. The list of performers includes some of the biggest names of the scene at the time: synth-pop pioneers Denis & Denis with the hit "Program tvog kompjutera", the legendary Azra ("Klinček stoji pod oblokom"), the art-rock band Dorian Gray ("Shine in the Dark"), the dance-pop duo D'Boys, and energetic rock bands The Animatori, Zabranjeno pušenje, Električni Orgazam and Parni valjak.

Along with them, the release also brings unforgettable vocal collaborations and pop anthems, such as the duet of Slađana Milošević and Dada Topić ("Princesa"), the anthology song of the group Riblja chorba ("When You Walk"), and the title track of the Trotakt project. Such a diverse and attractive line-up makes Let's Dance! a valuable discographic document that faithfully depicts the creative peak and infectious rhythm of the Yugoslav music scene in 1984.
