Becky’s attempts to prove the truth are met with disbelief by those around her, as Honey plays the part of the perfect, innocent girl to perfection. Through a dynamic of fear and suspense, Stine crafts a story about how the greatest danger can hide behind the mask of friendship, leading the reader toward an unexpected and shocking conclusion.
