Storytellers from Bosnia have held a special place in Croatian literature, from the time of the medieval Franciscans to the Muslim religious poets. With an afterword by Miroslav Vaupotić entitled "Storytellers of the Bosnian Village".

Veli Jože is a literary work by the Croatian writer Vladimir Nazor from 1908. The main character is the brave and good giant Jože, "strong as a bull, with a bushy head", who lives in the vicinity of the Istrian town of Motovun.
"Contemporary Croatian Storytellers" is an anthology edited by Miroslav Vaupotić and with an afterword by him, published in 1974 by Spektar. The collection provides an overview of the Croatian prose scene of the second half of the 20th century.
