Sunce u dimu (Sun in the Smoke) is a war novel for children and young adults by Vladimir Čerkez, published in 1958. The plot centers on the 1943 Battle of Sutjeska, one of the most grueling battles of the National Liberation War. Čerkez draws upon historical events and chronology, focusing the narrative on Partisan fighters who, encircled by a numerically and militarily superior enemy, attempt to break through the blockade.
