Priče iz životnjskog svijeta

Priče iz životnjskog svijeta

Franjo Dolenc, Ante Lui

A collection of short stories by Franjo Dolenc and Ante Lui, Croatian biologists and pedagogues, for elementary school students. The book educates children about the animal world through entertaining, educational stories, combining science with art and fo

Dolenec and Lui bring animals to life as heroes: brave wolves hunt in the dark, wise owls guard the secrets of the forest, and a fish that builds a nest reveals the wonders of the water. Stories such as "On the Oak Bark", "Mantis", "An Unusual Journey" and "The Fish That Builds a Nest" show adaptation to the environment - the camouflage of a rabbit and a butterfly, the instincts of migratory birds, the symbiosis of ants and foxes.

Animals symbolize human virtues: courage, patience, togetherness, emphasizing the cycle of life, ecology and respect for nature. The work celebrates the diversity of fauna: from tropical jungles to Croatian forests, with humor, poetry and illustrations that make reading an adventure. Inspired by lectures, it encourages a love of zoology in the midst of the modern world, similar to Dolenec's "Tales from the Plant World".
