Majstor i Margarita

One of the most important novels of the 20th century and the most famous work of Mikhail Bulgakov, takes place on two levels - the first part of the action takes place in Moscow in the 1930s, when the city is visited by Satan, who presents himself as Professor Woland, while the second level of the action takes place in Jerusalem at the time of Pontius Pilate, who is torn about having to sentence Jesus to death. On the basis of these old stories in a new guise, Bulgakov masterfully builds his new, truly unique narrative. The novel's vision of Soviet life in the 1930s is so credible that it could not be published during the author's lifetime, so it saw the light of day only in a censored edition in the 1960s. Its truths are so constant, eternal, like the novel itself, whose end is just another beginning, that the "Bulga" language has become part of everyday Russian speech, but it has also been woven into many other languages ​​into which the novel has been translated. He planted his roots on Croatian soil, and with this new translation, we will water Bulgakov's tree in Croatia with fresh drops of ink and make sure that its fruits water minds thirsty for knowledge and vividly described events.
