Zvonimir Balog

In literary theory and literary criticism, Zvonimir Balog is considered the founder of contemporary Croatian children's poetry.

"The Golden Thread" is one of his works, published in 1978, which belongs to the category of humorous stories for children and youth. Balog was awarded several times for his work, including the "Grigor Vitez" and "Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić" awards. His works have been translated into nineteen languages and are known to readers outside Croatia.
