In the novel The Horseman (1971) and the collection of short stories Obsjene paklenih drujje (1977), Aralica shows interest in themes from Croatian history and thereby announces the main creative phase of her literary oeuvre, in which the novels Psi u trgovište (1979), Put without sleep ( 1982), Souls of Slaves (1984) and Inn Builder (1986).
