Tit Andronik

William Shakespeare

The first of Shakespeare's ten tragedies – the drama about Titus Andronicus – is set in the late Roman era.

After the victorious return to Rome from the ten-year war against the Goths, this old military leader will refuse the offered imperial crown, and his tragic fate will begin with a series of monstrous events, until he finally falls as a victim of gruesome intrigues at the imperial court.
