Prvo nebo: Priča o dvoglasnoj fugi

Prvo nebo: Priča o dvoglasnoj fugi

Mario Fortunato

Mario Fortunato, for years one of the most controversial protagonists of Italian public life, currently the controversial director of the Italian Institute of Culture in London, published his first novel The First Sky in 1990.

The two protagonists, brother and sister, whose stories alternate, live their small and big escapes in periods of anticipation and are in search of a secret, elusive object, an inner unity, for what would give meaning to their existences. These are stories about missed and unexpected encounters, memories colored by time, a place where light and darkness merge into one, where pain and joy are one, and the present and the past are lost and intertwined again in the future. And their destinies, precisely in the moments when they seem the clearest, will lead them in completely unknown directions.
