Indijanci naših ulica

Indijanci naših ulica

Jozef Finci

The children read about "real Sarajlians" whom the author calls "Indians" because they are natives of their city - they know every street, every corner and every secret like the Indians knew their forests.

The children's edition was a favorite school reading in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 1970s and 1980s. Children loved it because they recognized themselves and their neighbors in the characters, and teachers loved it because it taught love for the city, respect for "little people," and the preservation of memories.
