Mica Lakomica is a very easy-going cat, who catches a goldfish at the very beginning of the novel, but because of her easy-goingness, is left without it.
The fish is stolen and imprisoned by dr. Mačković, who seeks infinite fulfillment of desires. Mica Lakomica tries to save the goldfish with the help of numerous cat characters, and by learning from her own and other people's mistakes, she manages to tame greediness.
One of the biggest names in contemporary world literature in the mature period of his rich writing career dabbled in fairy tales. In the acclaimed novel Paradise Lost, he weaves a seductive tale of angels, love and the search for a primal beginning.
