Die Chinesen, das Land Kham, seine Bewohner – Nomaden – sind der Schauplatz einer Geschichte über ein Ziel, Beharrlichkeit, Sehnsucht, eine Suche nach einem unentdeckten, namenlosen Berg, vielleicht dem letzten „weißen Fleck“ auf der Weltkarte. Es ist auch ein Roman über Tod und Liebe.
