Aleksandar Dima – Četrdeset pet vitezova, objavljeno 1966. godine, deo je velike trilogije o političkim i verskim previranjima u Francuskoj krajem 16. veka.

„Četrdeset pet vitezova“ smešteni su u vreme vladavine Henrija III, u vreme kada je Francuska bila rastrgana između katolika i hugenota (protestanata). Naslov se odnosi na četrdeset pet telohranitelja kralja, izabranih iz plemstva da bi osigurali njegovu bezbednost u politički nestabilnom vremenu. „Četrdeset pet vitezova“ upotpunjuje Dimin istorijsko-političku trilogiju o Francuskoj tokom turbulentnog perioda verskih ratova. Iako nije toliko poznato kao „Tri musketara“, ovo delo nudi dubok uvid u dvorske borbe za moć, lojalnost, izdaju i ličnu čast.
