Crnačka poezija

This edition of Black Poetry is an anthology based primarily on the folk poetry of various African peoples. The poems reflect the richness of oral tradition – rhythm, repetition, invocation of ancestors, connection with nature and community. They intertwine motifs of work, dance, ritual, love, struggle and collective identity. A significant part of the collection is also dedicated to the poetry of Léopold Sédar Senghor, a Senegalese poet and one of the founders of the négritude movement. His verses bring a combination of traditional African images and modern lyrical expression, emphasizing the dignity, cultural pride and spiritual strength of the black world.
