  • Ecological factors: Climatic (heat, light, humidity, wind), soil (types, physical/chemical properties), biotic and relief. Regionalization of viticulture in the SFRY by republic (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Vojvodina, Kosovo, Macedonia) with vineyards and wine categories.
  • Selection of varieties and rootstocks: Principles for varieties (ripening time, purpose: red/white wines, table wines); descriptions of 50+ varieties (e.g. Plovdina, Kreaca, Ružica crvena for table wines; Plavac mali for red wines). Rootstocks (Teleki 5C, Kober 5BB) by soil type, lime and climate.
  • Lifting technology: Design elements, selection of location (exposure, configuration), soil preparation (regulation, amelioration, furrowing), organization of the territory (planting distance 2-3 m, impact on yield, mechanization).
  • Planting and care: Time/depth of planting, planting material (coils), care in the 1st-4th. year (formation of stilts: cordunice, pergolas), supports (collars, wire reinforcement).
  • Standards: Approximate costs of work, tractors, materials for 1 ha (preparation, planting, care, fruiting).

The book uses domestic/foreign literature and practice for rationalization, mechanization and profitability. Useful for mass and small production.
