Mali leksikon hrvatske književnosti

The lexicon includes synthetic entries on literary periods (Middle Ages, Renaissance, Baroque, Romanticism, Realism, Modernism, Modernism, Postmodernism) and genres (drama, epic, essay, feuilleton, lyric, novella, travelogue, novel, oral literature). Of particular value is the first synthetic overview of the hundred most important Croatian literary magazines, a chronology of birthdays and anniversaries of a thousand writers, and an overview of scholarly literature with critical editions. It is illustrated with portraits and facsimiles, providing a visual context. The editors, in addition to Bogišić, include Lada Čale Feldman, Dean Duda, and Ivica Matičević. The work is significant for Croatian literary lexicography, offering a concise but comprehensive insight into the history and development of Croatian literature, intended for experts and a wider audience.
