Canadian writer and film director, Božidar Damjanović Benedikt, was born on April 7, 1938 in the small Croatian town of Vinica. He is the author of 36 books published in Croatian, Polish, Macedonian and English. He worked for the German, Canadian and Hollywood film industry as a screenwriter, director and scenographer. He graduated from two American universities with a degree in film design and a doctorate in literature and dramatic arts. He is a regular member of the Canadian Directors Guild and the Canadian Film Academy. In Croatia, he is best known for his successful films: Karma Story and Parallel World. He lives with his family in Toronto, Canada. The Inquisitor is a historical novel from the period of the creation of the Greater German Federation, i.e. the "Second Reich".
