Kanadski pisac i filmski reditelj, Božidar Damjanović Benedikt, rođen je 7. aprila 1938. godine u malom hrvatskom mestu Vinici. Autor je 36 knjiga objavljenih na hrvatskom, poljskom, makedonskom i engleskom jeziku. Radio je za nemačku, kanadsku i holivudsku filmsku industriju kao scenarista, reditelj i scenograf. Diplomirao je filmski dizajn i doktorirao književnost i dramsku umetnost na dva američka univerziteta. Redovni je član Kanadskog saveza reditelja i Kanadske filmske akademije. U Hrvatskoj je najpoznatiji po uspešnim filmovima: Karma priča i Paralelni svet. Živi sa porodicom u Torontu, Kanada. Inkvizitor je istorijski roman iz perioda stvaranja Velike nemačke federacije, odnosno „Drugog rajha“.
