Kraj lingvistike? : fragmenti protiv fragmentizacije

Kraj lingvistike? : fragmenti protiv fragmentizacije

Dubravko Škiljan

"Anyone who has professionally dealt with linguistics in the last fifteen years, and certainly some of those who observed it from the side but with interest during that period, could have noticed that this science is losing its importance in a certain way

If about fifteen years ago it was still a matter of honor for almost every researcher, at least in the field of social sciences and humanities, to take some element of linguistic instrumentation into their model, today only those who are "behind the stage" do it, and everyone else is looking for inspiration in disciplines that adapted better to the requirements of the time, so they are more fashionable today. In addition, until recently, linguistics was almost identified with structuralism, and it often metonymically denoted science in general. Today, such an equalization sounds almost anachronistic.
