Priče o moći

Carlos Castaneda

"Tales of Power" by Carlos Castaneda is the third book in the series about learning from Mexican shaman Don Juan Matus, which continues the exploration of the world of the nagual - a parallel reality accessible through special perception and discipline.

Castaneda describes his progress in learning, which involves less reliance on psychotropic plants and more on personal intention, mindfulness, and the practice of the "path of the warrior." Don Juan guides Castaneda through a series of challenges to help him become a "man of knowledge." Key concepts include the nagual and the tonal—the nagual is the unknown, spiritual dimension, and the tonal is the world we know and structure with reason. Don Juan shows Castaneda how to harmonize these two worlds through silence of the mind, self-discipline, and facing death as an advisor.

The book also explains the key concept of "intention," a universal force with which a warrior can shape reality, if he develops his awareness and energy sufficiently. Through a series of introspective and surreal events, Castaneda reaches the threshold of personal transformation and the ultimate encounter with power.

"Tales of Power" is not a classic spiritual literature, but a unique blend of anthropology, literary fiction, and esotericism, inviting the reader to question their perception of reality. The afterword for the book was written by Vladeta Jerotić.
