Porno

Porno

Irvin Welsh

Porn is a novel that features several characters from Trainspotting – Sick Boy, Renton, Spud and Bagbie, and all of them, along with the young porn star Nikkie, tell the story of the novel in intertwined narrative sequences.

Sick Boy returns to Edinburgh from London and intends to make pornographic films in full accordance with the latest trend. Begbie returns from prison and cannot adapt to his new life, and his brutality and naivety lead him to the most stupid end. Nikkie is a girl who envies the pop stars, so she wants to become one of them, certain that porn stars are watched by the largest number of people. Spud is still a drug addict, and Renton, as in Trainspotting, is the only one who manages to profit for himself.
