Šeno's historical novel Peasants' Revolt is a faithful reconstruction of the famous uprising of Croatian peasants in 1573 and all the events that preceded it.
August Šenoa's historical novel, which was published in Vijenec in 1877, and was published as a book in 1878. The novel is subtitled "Historical Narrative XVI. century" so it can be seen as a historical monograph in the form of a novel.
Through a series of connected episodes, the author describes his childhood and youth in the village, interweaving personal experiences with the historical and social context of the time.
The poems (84 of them), metaphorically framed under the title Path of Light, boldly question the poet's personal view of the world in which God is unconditional and unlimited love.
