Kriza psihoanalize - Analitička socijalna psihologija i društvena teorija

Erich Fromm

In the book, Fromm presents a strong critique of contemporary psychoanalysis. He believes that psychoanalysis has moved away from Freud's initial revolutionary vision and has turned into a technical, often sterile system that ignores deeper human and soci

Fromm emphasizes that psychoanalysis was originally more than therapy - it was a way to understand human freedom, creativity and the fight against repression. However, in contemporary practice, psychoanalysts are increasingly becoming ego technicians, focused on the adaptation of the individual to social norms instead of his true liberation.

He criticizes the rigidity of psychoanalytic orthodoxy and calls for the renewal of humanistic psychoanalysis – one that connects psychological processes with social, ethical and existential issues. Health, according to Fromm, is not only the absence of neurosis, but the ability to love, work and live an authentic life.

It also emphasizes the importance of social criticism in psychoanalysis: many psychological ailments arise from alienation, consumer mentality and repressive social structures. Fromm calls for the return of psychoanalysis as a means of personal and social awakening.
