Grga Novak was the last Croatian polyhistologist and one of the most famous Dalmatians of the twentieth century. In his ninety-year life, he created a vast and diverse oeuvre. His most important books are Our Sea, The Past of Dalmatia, Prehistoric Hvar and History of Split.
