U obranu naše budućnosti
This book aims to be a cultural contribution to an open and free debate, which is necessary after a whole decade filled with crime and war; she wants to be a small step on the way to a democratic Europe.
The authors of this book give a hint of how furious they are about the seduction on a national basis. These texts give hope that this national crime will not be repeated on the way to Europe.
"The book is mostly about records that mix autobiographical with documentary; testimonies about where they were and what their authors were doing in the last ten years with comments on current events, monitoring of the war in various media and criticism of the ruling nationalist and mythomaniac rhetoric. In turn, all the authors are appalled by what happened, often considering that their generation was completely innocent in this "production of horror", that they did not want to participate in the war and that they did not lead to it in any way. This somewhat naive, odistic tone to a "lost generation" is overemphasized in some texts, especially where it is accompanied by statements of community and almost "pioneer oaths" to a better future, or phrases about dialogue, tolerance and multiculturalism that have been repeated so many times..."
