Siddhartha is an allegorical novel about a young Siddhartha who leaves his family and priesthood to build his own outlook on life.

Through reflections, we follow Siddhartha's thoughts in the ascetic life compared to the hedonistic city lifestyle. Siddhartha is convinced that the truth of existence can only be reached through life experience and this is what gives him the strength to move forward.
